Longboarding is about freedom; its about choosing your own path and enjoying the journey. That's what Katherine Spriggs and I had in mind when we set out to design a board whose form speaks of uninhibited travel. We envisioned the skateboard as a living creature: fast, sleek, and agile.

We designed the Street Glider to give a smooth, silent ride, using large radius tires with high pressure inner tubes and rubber treads for shock absorption. The carbon fiber body flexes and resists just enough to give the ideal feeling of control during the ride.

We pictured the skateboard as a living creature. The emotion evoked by the feeling of free riding on a longboard is communicated through different feedback channels. Feedback through responsiveness, sound, and the flexing of the board. In this way, the skateboard is almost alive: one with its rider.

The profile is inspired by the skate fish and manta ray, while its top view references the majesty of a diving falcon.
